Being a leader can be exhausting. You are facing burnout, limited time and resources, a demotivated team, a lack of communication, and imposter syndrome.

You want to be a good leader.

To effectively lead your company, your board, your family, your organization, your voters, your team—even your personal life—you need clarity.

Daily chaos and imposter syndrome will no longer get in the way of being an effective leader.

Hi, I’m Dr. Martin Kettelhut, a leadership coach with a Ph.D. in philosophy.

I’ve spent the last 25 years coaching entrepreneurs and executives on growing businesses and being effective leaders.

I’ve seen firsthand the challenges of leadership and helped transform many into strong, powerful, and empowered leaders.

A note on leadership:

In many critical domains, we are experiencing a crisis of leadership.

We have been unwittingly assuming that leadership resides in an individual, and that that individual (whether it’s me or you...and it’s not both!) walks and talks differently than the rest of the family, or the company, or the community.

When I talk about the crisis of leadership in our society, I’m talking about your & my reluctance to lead, the unfitness of many of our current leaders, & the malicious corruption and divisiveness that our leaders are constantly triggering.

The root of all of this is the individualist model of leadership (precisely because of the fragile and unsupported separation from the rest of us, and also the enormous responsibility and pressure it puts on our leadership). This influenced what I call the relational paradigm of leadership which relies on three things:

  • A leader must have a genuine interest in (or charity towards) the community

  • To establish leadership, there must be a kind of faith in the process of comparing outcomes with others

  • If those results continue to hold ad infinitum as we hope, then we say the paradigm is true

The relational paradigm of leadership sees individuals as made up of relations (rather than the other way around); it challenges us to align on the future we have in common; and it calls on us to share the lead.

"In this program you can expect community and connection, and that you will get things done. The Leadership Growth Program is an invaluable resource for identifying what matters and moving towards what matters.

I myself got my business off the ground after years of thinking about it. Dr Kettelhut helped me get unstuck, set realistic and ambitious goals, and meet them. An important take-away for me was that accountability to the right people makes all the difference.”

  • Leaders: parents, voters, managers, executives, teachers, school administrators, lawyers, financial advisors, scientists, healthcare professionals, community leaders, elected officials, and more.

  • This Program is based on Dr. Kettelhut's relational model of leadership, in which leadership is seen as shared, and its style changes with the need. The traditional model is individualist; it holds that one person (who is separate from the team and has different attributes) is solely responsible for leading.

  • First and foremost, what makes a successful leader is the ability to put one's personal reactions aside, and intstead think and act so as to empower others.
